New Delhi, 28 April 2026: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting Sikkim. On Tuesday morning, Prime Minister Modi enjoyed playing football with local children in the capital Gangtok. Prime Minister Modi has shared some photos of him playing football with children on social media. Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote on his Instagram account, “A beautiful morning in Gangtok. Playing football with my little friends in Sikkim is something different.”

In another post he wrote, “A great football session with these youngsters.” Prime Minister Modi has posted several photos in his Instagram post, in which he is seen playing football with local children and interacting with them. During this time, the PM is completely dressed as a player.

Prime Minister Modi reached Gangtok on the evening of 27 April. His schedule is expected to be very busy on Tuesday. After spending time with the children, the Prime Minister will visit the Orchidarium in Gangtok. He will attend the closing ceremony of Sikkim’s 50th anniversary celebrations at Paljor Stadium, where he will distribute Rs. Will inaugurate, inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of many development projects worth more than Rs 4,000 crore. He will also address the gathering on the occasion.The projects cover various sectors including infrastructure, connectivity, healthcare, education, power, urban development, environment, tourism and agriculture and aim to accelerate holistic and inclusive development in Sikkim.
