CGTMSE Hosts Global Dialogue : Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises (CGTMSE) successfully organized “Global Symposium on Credit Guarantee” and “38th Annual Conference of Asian Credit Supplementation Institutions Confederation (ACSIC)” from 23-24 April 2026 in Mumbai on the occasion of its Silver Jubilee. The two-day program emphasized the role of credit guarantee system in building inclusive growth, strong financial system and resilient Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs).

The symposium was attended by policy makers, credit guarantee institutions, financial sector leaders and international experts from over 19 countries and 26 major institutions. This underscored the importance of global cooperation and knowledge sharing in strengthening the credit guarantee framework.
The program was inaugurated by Shri Manoj Mittal, Chairman of CGTMSE and CMD of SIDBI. In his special speech, he highlighted the importance of credit guarantee mechanism in extending credit to the underserved. Mr. Manish Sinha, CEO of CGTMSE delivered the welcome address and presented the symposium as a platform for global dialogue, innovation and collaboration.

Discussions on women entrepreneurs, help to marginalized groups

Additional Secretary and Development Commissioner of MSME Ministry in the keynote speech. Rajnesh highlighted the government’s commitment to strengthen the MSME sector. He emphasized on ease of doing business, reforms and increasing financial inclusion. He also spoke about the role of credit guarantee framework in enabling more people to get formal loans by removing the constraints of lack of collateral.
Various panel discussions, presentations and knowledge sessions were organized during these two days. It discussed topics such as global cooperation, risk management, sustainability, green financing, ESG, financial inclusion and support for women entrepreneurs and marginalized groups. These discussions showed good coordination between policies and institutional efforts.

Credit Guarantee Models Using AI

Also discussed were digital transformation, credit guarantee models using data and AI, as well as the role of guarantee institutions in a changing global scenario. The sessions highlighted the need for innovation, flexibility and building robust systems to meet changing needs.
At the end of the program, the important points were reviewed and concluded. All stakeholders reiterated their commitment to strengthen the credit guarantee system globally. CGTMSE highlighted its key role in providing collateral-free loans and reiterated its resolve to support inclusive entrepreneurship.
The symposium provided an opportunity for credit guarantee institutions from around the world to come together and strengthened India’s leadership in the field. Also, this marks an important milestone in CGTMSE’s journey to make financial facilities more accessible to MSEs.
