South superstar Dhanush is also a known name in Bollywood. He made his debut in the Hindi film industry with the iconic romantic drama Raanjhanaa by Aanand L Rai.

The movie made him a nationwide sensation even before 'pan-India' stars became a trend. He then collaborated with the filmmaker again for Atrangi Re, alongside Akshay Kumar and Sara Ali Khan. While it did not have the same impact, the film was praised for its heartfelt storyline. Recently, marking his third collaboration with Rai, he starred in Tere Ishk Mein opposite Kriti Sanon. Now, he is once again set to feature in a Hindi film, but not with the maker of Raanjhanaa. Dhanush is reportedly collaborating with one of the most celebrated Indian directors. Dhanush To Star In Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Next According to a report by Variety, SLB is planning a big-budget mythological film set in a jungle. He has reportedly signed  for the project. Noted Tamil director PS Mithran will helm the film, which will mark his debut in the Hindi film industry. Those unaware, he is known for directing movies like Irumbu Thirai, Hero and Sardar. This will also mark his first collaboration with Dhanush. Reports suggest the script went through several changes before being finalised a few months ago. Reportedly, Ram Charan was being considered earlier, but the talks did not materialise. After this, the role eventually went to Dhanush. Dhanush And Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Upcoming Projects For Dhanush, the untitled film is said to be one of his biggest Hindi projects so far. It is expected to show him in a completely never-seen-before avatar. According to the report, the shooting is likely to begin in early next year after Dhanush completes his current  .He has D55, Mari Selvaraj's next, Vada Chennai 2 and other announced projects in the pipeline. Bhansali, on the other hand, is also busy with his upcoming projects. Currently, he's working on   starring Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal. The movie was slated to release this year but has been postponed to 2027 due to production delays. It is being hailed as SLB's most ambitious project to date and fans are super excited to see what the filmmaker has in store for them. Apart from this, Bhansali's banner is also working on historical drama, titled  . Directed by Ketan Mehta, it is based on the 1025-1026 CE attack on the Somnath Temple in Gujarat. The movie, announced in February 2026, is scheduled for a worldwide release in 2027. Meanwhile, an official announcement on Dhanush and Sanjay's upcoming mythological jungle drama is still awaited.
