New Delhi: Residents of Delhi-NCR may get temporary relief from the ongoing heat as the India Meteorological Department has forecast rain and gusty winds on April 29. The change in weather is linked to an active western disturbance and supporting atmospheric conditions, which are expected to bring cloud cover and lower temperatures.

Rain and winds expected in many areas

The Meteorological Department said the sky will remain cloudy across Delhi on April 29. Light to very light rainfall is likely in different parts of the city during the afternoon and evening hours. Thunderstorms and lightning may occur during this period. Winds are expected to blow at speeds of 30 to 40 kilometres per hour, with gusts reaching up to 50 kilometres per hour.
