Donovan Ferreira dished out a crazy assault and fittingly finished the match off with a six with four deliveries to spare. Prabhsimran smashed another fifty but consumed 44 deliveries for his 59 runs but it was the death-overs impetus from Marcus Stoinis that helped the two-time finalists runners-up finish strongly. The veteran Aussie all-rounder carted Brijesh Sharma for 24 runs in the final over to stay unbeaten on 62 off 22 balls.

In a chase of 223, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Yashasvi Jaiswal also responded in style, stitching 51-run opening stand in 3.2 overs. While Dhruv Jurel struggled, Parag (29), Ferreria (52*) and Shubham Dubey (31*) did just enough to consign the Punjab Kings to their first defeat of the season and in Mullanpur this year.
