New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued the admit cards for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) on April 26. The NEET UG 2026 examination is scheduled for May 3, from 2 PM to 5 PM. Candidates are advised to carefully read the instructions provided on their hall tickets. It is crucial for all candidates to adhere to the important guidelines on the exam day to avoid disqualification.
Official Website for Admit Card Download
Candidates can download their hall tickets from the official website neet.nta.nic.in. The NEET UG admit card will also contain details about the assigned examination center. No candidate will be allowed entry into the examination hall without their hall ticket.
Guidelines for the Examination
- Entry to the examination center will commence at 11 AM.
- According to the official notification, candidates will not be permitted to enter the examination center after 1:30 PM.
- Examination papers will be distributed by the invigilator at 1:45 PM.
- Candidates without a valid admit card will not be allowed to enter the examination center.
- Bringing any restricted items or objects that could be used for misconduct is prohibited.
- Smoking is strictly forbidden in and around the examination center.
- Candidates are not allowed to carry water bottles, tea, coffee, soft drinks, or snacks inside the examination center.
Dress Code Requirements
- Those participating in the NEET UG exam should pay attention to the dress code.
- Avoid wearing overly dark or flashy clothing. Light-colored attire is recommended.
- Although it is warm, wearing half-sleeve t-shirts or shirts is advisable.
- Avoid clothes with excessive pockets, buttons, or zippers.
Footwear Guidelines
Don't assume that only clothing will be inspected at the center. Candidates will be scanned from head to toe. To avoid any issues at the examination center, it is best to wear sandals. High-heeled shoes are completely banned.
Remove Jewelry
Many candidates forget to remove rings in haste, thinking it won't cause any trouble. However, bringing any metal items to the center is prohibited. Avoid wearing fashion accessories like earrings, necklaces, rings, bangles, or nose pins. Wearing bracelets or chains is also not allowed, and hair accessories like large rubber bands or clips are prohibited.
Documents to Bring
- On the exam day, candidates must bring the following documents:
- A printed copy of the admit card downloaded from the NTA website.
- Two passport-sized photographs (similar to those uploaded on the exam form).
- A valid government-issued ID.
- If claiming disability benefits, a certificate of physical disability or proof of belonging to the disabled category is required.
NEET UG 2026 candidates should note that they will be under CCTV surveillance during the examination.
