April 24—a day that could have been a memorable moment for the cousins but turned out to be a heart-wrenching tragedy. Two cousins, 20-year-old Yagya Bhatia and 14-year-old Abhav, succumbed to a bike accident after coming back from watching the match between the Delhi Capitals and the Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.
It was the day when Delhi Capitals scored their record low of 74 runs, and RCB chased that with ease. The match ended unexpectedly earlier.
Yagya went to the stadium with his cousin, and while they were returning towards West Delhi on Yagya's bike, a truck hit them. It was around 10:30 pm at Central Delhi's Ashok Road, where the tragedy happened.
As per reports, Abhav was on call with his father Sumit before things went silent forever. Sumit kept calling, and no answer came. A stranger came and picked up the call informing that the brothers had an accident.
Their families are in the business of dry fruits. Abhav was nearing his 15th birthday, and a family preparing for birthday celebrations has been shaken by the loss.

Who was Yagya Bhatia?
A sneak peek at Yagya Bhatia's Instagram profile will give a clear idea of who he can be. His family, however, clarified that he plays cricket for his college cricket team, a side he is enrolled in for his BSc degree. Apart from that Yagya seemed to be interested in music. He posted videos of himself singing playing his guitar.
Yagya often shared his video of bowling. His father, Shailedra Bhatia, seemed to be a bowler too, playing on the same teams.
Yagya has had a net session with the Delhi Capitals team. He had videos of those sessions in his Insta account. Yagya posted photos with DC batter Ashutosh Sharma and bowlers like Aquib Nabi.

However, on the day of the tragedy, Bhati was seen with the RCB team in their hotel. Yagya with his cousin Abhav was seen taking selfies with RC players like Suyansh Sharma and Swapnil Singh. Unfortunately, that post will shine as the final memory of a budding cricketer who lost forever.
