Fans of Emmerdale believe they've rumbled Dawn Fletcher's brutal revenge plan, and Joe Tate will be devastated.

Dawn (played by Olivia Bromley) and Joe (Ned Porteous) have been together since early last year when they began having an affair behind Dawn's husband Billy's (Jay Kontzle) back.

The couple, who are now engaged, recently faced a setback when Dawn found out that Joe had filmed Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins) killing her evil brother, John (Oliver Farnworth), shortly after the Corriedale crash.

Joe used the footage to blackmail Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) into planting illegal documents at Butler's Farm, resulting in Moira Dingle's (Natalie J Robb) wrongful imprisonment - though Dawn is yet to find out about this detail.

During Tuesday's (April 28) episode, an angry Moira arrived at Home Farm with a shotgun, after learning that Joe was responsible for her recent prison sentence.

Dawn was left speechless as she walked home to find her fiancé held at gunpoint. While trying to get Moira to back down, Dawn revealed that she was pregnant, leaving Joe gobsmacked.

After Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough) successfully got Moira to leave, Joe shared his excitement over Dawn's baby news. But before they could celebrate, Dawn wanted to get to the bottom of why Moira was so angry with him.

"Joe, what was she going on about when she was saying that you were lying?" she asked, with Joe continuing to keep the truth from his soon-to-be wife. Dawn went on to say: "So, you had nothing to do with Moira going to prison?" Joe replied: "I mean, I did unwittingly, given what happened, but I didn't do this deliberately," with a worried Dawn adding: "You didn't use that video?"

Trying to change the subject, Joe then said: "I've had a really stressful day, really stressful, and it's been topped off with some really wonderful news. Can we just focus on the wonderful news, please?" Dawn reluctantly agreed, but was seen looking skeptical as she hugged her partner.

Now, several Emmerdale fans believe that Dawn already knows the extent of Joe's crimes, and could possibly be lying about her pregnancy as part of an elaborate revenge plan.

"So do we think Dawn is actually pregnant? Or is she planning on faking it, scam him somehow and run," one person wrote on a Facebook fan page, with another adding: "I reckon this is all part of her plan to take Joe down."

A Reddit user similarly shared: "There might be some redemption arc for Dawn if she is lying about the pregnancy and will help Moira.

Joe needs comeuppance, being the pretty boy in prison would be good - no Kim and Graham to save him inside." Another added: "Anyone else think Dawn has made it up?" while a third person said: "Yeah, defo something fishy about this pregnancy."

At the end of last month, it was reported that Olivia Bromley - who plays Dawn - is leaving Emmerdale this year, though show bosses have yet to confirm the rumours.

It's set to be a dramatic time for Dawn as she crosses paths with Moira again this week, with a pointed remark about Joe leaving her unsettled.

Already questioning everything, Dawn heads to Wishing Well and demands answers. This time, Moira tells her the truth about Joe's role in setting her up, leaving Dawn stunned and desperate to know more. Will Dawn get revenge on Joe?
