A fresh allegation concerning Donald Trump's health has emerged, this time from a source with direct links to the president.
Former White House counsel Ty Cobb worked alongside Trump throughout his first administration and has now stated he is witnessing worrying signs of cognitive decline in the leader's speech and conduct.
Speaking to MS NOW, Cobb suggested Trump is displaying signs of dementia, appearing as though he is "lost."
He explained: "When I was there, his narcissism would be on display because he would passionately want to do some things that would be unbound."
Cobb went on to highlight that certain people, namely General Kelly, General Mattis, and Nikki Haley, were previously able to dissuade him from such impulses, reports the Mirror US.
He added that it is deeply concerning those figures are no longer part of Trump's inner circle.
Cobb said: "In fact, there should be some concern that people are using this, using his incapacity to manipulate decisions, as Netanyahu did in connection to the decision to go into Iran."
Furthermore, Cobb observed that Trump's vocabulary has noticeably diminished, with the president now relying predominantly on profanity and threats to communicate - something he describes as "suggestive of the absence of any frontal lobe controls."
These allegations surface just as Trump finds himself embroiled in controversy over a string of social media posts, including an attack on Pope Leo XIV, threats directed at the Iranian people, religious imagery, and seemingly unrelated song clips.
The former attorney claimed: "He doesn't understand this at all, any more than Joe Biden had difficulty getting off stage and finding the exit."
Davis Ingle, White House spokesperson, fired back at Cobb's remarks with: "Ty Cobb should immediately seek psychiatric help to treat his severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome, and he should also shave that caterpillar off his face."
He further stated: "President Trump's sharpness, unmatched energy, and historic accessibility stand in stark contrast to what we saw during the last administration when Democrats and other lunatics intentionally covered up Joe Biden's serious mental and physical decline from the American people."
Around the same time, in another MS NOW interview, when questioned about the president's recent accomplishments, including the Nobel Prize, Cobb observed that all American politicians recognise "his narcissism controls everything he does, that to appeal to him and put him in a mood to be generous with you, all you have to do is compliment him."
He went on to claim that, as a result, the president is manipulated "like a puppet," citing Russian leader Vladimir Putin as a prime example of someone who successfully exploits American goodwill by playing the right cards.
"It's pure insanity, but the way to get Trump to do anything you want is to play to his ego."
