Virgil van Dijk has insisted he is unconcerned by the swirling speculation surrounding Alisson Becker and Curtis Jones as uncertainty over the Liverpool duo's futures continues to mount. Alisson has emerged as a prime target for Juventus, with reports emerging from Italy suggesting that preliminary contact has already been established between the player's camp and the Serie A giants.
Liverpool recently triggered their option to extend the Brazilian shot-stopper's contract, with the keeper now tied to the club until the end of next season having originally arrived in 2018. However, Reds boss Arne Slot hinted last week that the Anfield hierarchy may face a crucial decision this summer regarding the 33-year-old, who has been increasingly plagued by hamstring troubles in recent campaigns.
Liverpool are hopeful that Alisson will be fit for Sunday's clash with fierce rivals Manchester United, having been sidelined for the past seven matches, during which he has been deputised by first Giorgi Mamardashvili and then Freddie Woodman.
And while keen for his long-standing team-mate to remain at the club, Liverpool captain Van Dijk appears relaxed about the prospect of Alisson potentially following Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson through the exit door in the coming weeks.
"Everyone can feel a certain way about it," said the Netherlands international. "There are rumours but if there is anything concrete then we will all find out. But for me, I'm never worried.
"Listen, there is always going to be a day where you - including myself - will go. But if it's going to happen - and I have no idea about it and I don't think at this point he has an idea about it - then we will, as a club, adapt to that.
"We have been through everything together, positive things and some negative things unfortunately as well, so it would definitely be a big blow and a miss but I don't think, for me, it's a good idea to think ahead about what could or could not happen.
"He's very important for me as one of the leaders in the team and I think he is very important on the pitch because I think he is one of the best - in my opinion the best - goalkeeper in the world. He's trying to be back as soon as possible to help us for the last four games and that's our main focus.
"Whatever happens after that is not something you should ask me. Would I love him to stay? Of course, there's no doubt about that."
Speculation has also emerged regarding the future of Jones, with the 25-year-old entering the final 12 months of his contract and no indication of progress towards a new deal. Jones has excelled as a makeshift right-back in the past two matches and has clocked up more playing time this season than in any previous campaign during his Liverpool career.
Asked whether he wants the Academy graduate to remain at his boyhood club, Van Dijk said: "Of course. I don't know what's going to happen because I'm not the boss.
"Curtis I thought was outstanding against Everton, was not too much spoken about but especially in possession he was quite a big game-changer, especially in his positioning.
"It's nice to be in your original position but he is so comfortable on the ball, he understands what is asked from that position."
Despite his looming exit after nine years at the club, Robertson has featured in the last three matches at left-back ahead of Milos Kerkez, and netted his first Premier League goal in nearly two years during the 3-1 home victory over Crystal Palace on Saturday.
Van Dijk added: "I made a joke in the dressing room that finally he scores normal goals instead of deflections or own goals because now he scored two great goals against Wolves away and this one, outstanding.
"Really pleased for him but they (Robertson and Jones) are both outstanding football players and in the case of Robbo we're definitely going to miss him when the season is over. We'll see then."
