Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami hosted a very special and inspirational program at his official residence today. The occasion was to honor those meritorious students under the ‘Prakhar Scholarship Scheme 2025’, who have proved their talent despite all the shortcomings. In fact, these are the children whose parents deliver newspapers to our homes every morning, whether it is bitter cold or torrential rain. In this program organized by Dainik Jagran Group, the Chief Minister honored these promising people belonging to the families of newspaper distribution agents and encouraged them.

The atmosphere of this honor ceremony organized at the Chief Minister’s residence was very emotional and full of pride. CM Dhami met the children one by one and heard their success stories. He clearly said that talent is not dependent on any comfort or facility. These children have proved that if there is a will to do something and there is discipline, then success automatically follows. In fact, these children are not only giving wings to the dreams of their parents, but are also setting an example for the entire state.

During the programme, the Chief Minister not only praised the students but also underlined the tough struggle of their parents. He said that the life of a newspaper distributor is full of discipline and hard work. After midnight, when the world is sleeping, these people leave for their work. The Chief Minister said emotionally, “The position at which these children stand today is hidden behind the years of sacrifice and penance of their parents. They never let the lack of resources come in the way of their children’s education, this is the biggest victory.”

It is being told that most of the children honored come from ordinary backgrounds, but their marks and their academic achievements are no less than the students of any big private school. While addressing the parents, CM said that the society should take inspiration from such families who are building the future of the country with their hard-earned money.

Government’s commitment to education and innovation

The Chief Minister appreciated this initiative of encouraging meritorious students through Prakhar Scholarship Scheme. He said that the aim of his government is to make Uttarakhand a model state in the field of education. For this, continuous improvements and new experiments are being done in the education system. According to the Chief Minister, “It is very important for meritorious students to get encouragement at the right time. When the government and institutions together hold the hands of such children, they are ready to make an important contribution to the development of the society.”

He called upon the students to never underestimate their goals and keep trying. The Chief Minister assured that the state government stands with every child who knows how to work hard. Along with strengthening the infrastructure in the field of education, efforts are also being made to remove economic barriers through scholarship schemes.

Director General (Information) Shri Banshidhar Tiwari and many senior officers and editors of Dainik Jagran Group were present in this dignified program. Officials also appreciated the hard work of the children and told how children from families connected at the grassroots level are being brought forward through ‘Prakhar Scholarship’. At the end of the program, the Chief Minister wished the children a bright future and also took a group photo with them.
