IPL 2026: Ryan Rickelton Creates History with Maiden IPL Century vs SRH

Mumbai Indians have made an excellent batting display during their IPL 2026 fixture against Sunrisers Hyderabad taking place at Wankhede Stadium. The highlight of the innings so far is a brilliant hundred from Ryan Rickelton, who reached his first IPL century in style.

 

The match is ongoing; however, the innings of Rickelton has become the main focus of the whole event. It is because he scored his first-ever hundred and established the quickest hundred record for any Mumbai Indians player.

Rickelton reaches special honour

 

Rickelton scored his first hundred in the 15th over after scoring a single against Nitish Kumar Reddy. He pulled a slower short delivery towards square leg to make one run.

 

In celebration of such a great milestone, he jumped into the air when reaching the target. In addition to that, he received a special recognition since it was the first-ever century for any batsman in Mumbai Indians' team in IPL.

 

He achieved his hundred in record time by reaching the milestone within 44 balls which stands as the quickest hundred recorded by any Mumbai Indians player in IPL history. The innings featured powerful hitting combined with intelligent shot selection which resulted in a high run rate throughout the entire match.

With this knock, Rickelton broke an old record and moved to the top of the list for fastest hundreds by Mumbai Indians players.
