New Delhi: Sunrisers Hyderabad pulled off the fourth highest run chase in IPL’s history to beat Mumbai Indians by six wickets on Wednesday.
They had successfully chased down a 247-run target against Punjab Kings last year, the third hghest chase in the tournament.
And at the Wankhede Stadium, Travis Head (76, 30 balls, 4×4, 8×6) and his opening partners Abhishek Sharma (45, 24 balls, 4×4, 3×4) to provide impetus in their 244-run target.
Heinrich Klassen (65, 30 balls, 7×4, 4×6) then put the finishing touches as SRH recahed the finishing in 18.4 overs.
With the win, SRH jumped up to the third spot with 12 poits from nine matches, while Mumbai remained ninth with only four points from eigh games.
Earlier, Ryan Rickelton smashed the quickest century by a Mumbai batter in IPl history.
The South African reached his ton in 44 balls, bettering the 45-ball mark by Tilak verma and Sanath Jayasuriya.
