Kuwait is now fully returning to normalcy. The government has ordered that all government offices, hospitals and schools will start functioning fully from May 3. With this decision, the life of the migrants and local people living there will again become the same as before.

What will be the change in government offices and working hours?

Civil Service Commission (CSC) has announced that from May 3, 2026, 100% employee presence will be mandatory in all government institutions. Now the old rules will apply in the office, which include a seven-hour work schedule in the morning and evening shift. The Cabinet and Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah have also approved this entire process.

New rules for hospitals and health services

Ministry of Health spokesperson Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad said that surgery procedures will start fully in all health centers from May 3. Besides, the facility of regular leave for medical staff has also been re-implemented. According to the Health Ministry, the health situation of the country is stable and hospitals are working at their full capacity.

What order has come for schools and students?

The Kuwait Cabinet has also made major changes in the education system. In-person i.e. physical classes will resume for secondary school students from May 3, 2026. With this, students will now study directly in the classroom.
