- Bank holiday on 1 May 2026: Banks will remain open in Gujarat, Odisha, Chandigarh, Tamil Nadu, Sikkim, Rajasthan, Nagaland and Meghalaya. There will be a bank holiday in these states on May 1, 2026 on occasions like Maharashtra Day, Buddha Purnima, May Day (Labor Day) and the birth anniversary of Pandit Raghunath Murmu.
- Holiday on 3rd May: This is Sunday and Sunday is a bank holiday across the country.
- Bank holiday on 9th May 2026: Banks will remain closed in West Bengal on 9th May 2026 to celebrate the birthday of Rabindranath Tagore. By the way, 9th May is the second Saturday. Banks remain closed throughout the country on this occasion.
- Holiday on 10th May: This is Sunday and there is bank holiday on Sunday in the entire country.
- Bank holiday on 16th May 2026: Banks will remain closed in Sikkim on 16th May 2026 to celebrate Statehood Day.
- Holiday on 17th May: This is Sunday and there is bank holiday on Sunday in the entire country.
- Holiday on 23rd May: This day is the fourth Saturday and there is a bank holiday on the fourth Saturday in the entire country.
- Holiday on 24th May: This is Sunday and Sunday is a bank holiday across the country.
- Bank holiday on 26th May 2026: Banks will remain closed in Tripura on 26th May 2026 to celebrate the birthday of Kazi Nazrul Islam.
- Bank holiday on 27 May 2026: Banks will remain closed in Tripura, Madhya Pradesh, Chandigarh, Uttarakhand, Assam, Andhra Pradesh, Manipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Kerala, Nagaland, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, New Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Meghalaya, Himachal Pradesh, Srinagar and Telangana. Banks will not remain closed in Maharashtra, Karnataka, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Sikkim, Rajasthan, Arunachal Pradesh, Goa and Bihar. In other states, banks will remain closed to celebrate Eid-ul-Azha (Bakri Eid)/Eid-ul-Zuha.
- Bank Holiday on May 28, 2026: Banks will remain closed in Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Jammu and Srinagar, Goa and Bihar on May 28, 2026 to celebrate Bakri Eid (Eid-ul-Zuha).
