Gujarat Cabinet Meeting was organized on Wednesday. The meeting also paid special attention to “Service and Good Governance” as well as the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference (VGRC) being held in Surat. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel conducted a comprehensive review of the planning and preparations to the conference. Apart from this, senior officers have also been instructed to prepare a comprehensive list of public complaints and resolve them expeditiously.
After the cabinet meeting, government spokesperson and minister Jitu Vaghani informed about important decisions. He said, “The state government is committed to solving the problems of the people with the mantra of service and good governance.” Therefore, the Chief Minister has given clear instructions to the administrative machinery from the grassroots level to the state level to resolve all public issues and complaints expeditiously.
All senior officers have been asked to prepare a list of complaints. Instructions have been given to prepare an action plan to resolve these issues as soon as possible. This step has been taken to strengthen the grievance redressal mechanism.
Brainstorming also took place on VGRC
Gujarat Cabinet reviewed VGRC preparations. It will be organized in Surat on 1st and 2nd May. Under the guidance of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, the industrial potential of 16 districts of Central and South Gujarat will be brought to the global platform through this program. This conference will focus on the districts of South Gujarat. New investment opportunities will also arise with global participation. The Chief Minister will deliver a speech on the occasion of this inauguration. Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Bhai Sanghvi will deliver the inaugural address and presentation. A series of seminars, panel discussions and round tables will be held during the two-day conference.
Vibrant Gujarat Area Exhibition will also be organized at the same place from 1st to 5th May. The exhibition will serve as a better platform for industries, MSMEs, startups and government departments of South Gujarat districts like Bharuch, Dangs, Navsari, Surat Tapi and Valsad. Apart from this, a glimpse of the global financial and GCC opportunities of GIFT City will also be seen here.
Resolution passed after BJP’s victory in local body elections
The Cabinet expressed its appreciation for the historic victory of the Bharatiya Janata Party in the local body elections. A formal resolution was also passed. In which the result was said to be public support of the development policy and leadership of the state government. In this proposal, several schemes of the Central and State Government including Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, Ujjwala Yojana, Kisan Samman Nidhi as well as many structure aspects including Jyoti Gram Yojana were mentioned.
There has also been discussion about Gujarat getting the hosting of the 2030 Commonwealth Games. The income eligibility limit for scholarship for Scheduled Caste students was revised to Rs 3.6 lakh and schemes like Dr. Ambedkar Foreign Study Manav Garima Yojana and Samras Hostel were also mentioned.
