This fashion moment felt less red carpet and more like a celestial arrival, where popular global faces Lady Gaga and Doechii didn’t just show up but truly transcended it. Drenched in 3,000 crystals, what made their ensembles iconic was the vision brought by Indian designer Gaurav Gupta , who blurred the line between couture and cosmic fantasy.
For the music video, Gaurav Gupta designed two heavy, embellished bodysuits, dipped in black and white crystals, respectively. Lady Gaga wore a pearl-toned corset-style bodysuit encrusted with crystals and pearls, whereas Doechii wore a black corset, layered with spikes and metal studs over sequins and crystal detailing.
He constructed both looks as single-piece ensembles, complete with attached face coverings extending from head to toe, merging the body, garment, and stunning mask. Both the fittings took over 800 hours of handwork by a team of skilled artisans, resulting in a dimensional and immersive look.
According to a report in News18, Gaurav Gupta shared his experience working with both artists, saying, “Working with Gaga and Doechii felt like a big moment. They both have such powerful, distinct identities, and seeing the couture come alive through them made it feel really special."
Gaurav Gupta is known for his futuristic vision and otherworldly design language, turning embellishment into something more immersive and celestial. The result isn’t the fitting and look, but he makes sure to be unapologetically bold and boundary-less.
