Aashiqui actor Rahul Roy is once again in the news. The winner of Bigg Boss season 1 took over the internet with his latest reels. The internet was divided by the kind of content he created with Dr Vanita Ghadhage Desai on Instagram.
Rahul, who has been missing from the limelight for quite some time, sparked discussion around the offers he has been getting professionally. Reacting to the viral clip, the Aashiqui actor spoke about the need for work after suffering from a brain stroke in 2020. He shared a note on Instagram. Rahul Roy reacts to viral video backlash In his Instagram note, Rahul reacted to the trolling on social media after his reels with Dr Vanita went viral. He shared that he chooses to work with honesty and modesty while having to pay for legal matters that go back in the day. Hitting back at trolls, the actor said if people mock his simplicity, it says less about him and more about them. "If you are truly so concerned, then help me find some genuine and decent work so I can pay for these cases," he wrote, before adding, "At least I am earning through hard work, not by mocking others." Rahul added that after the brain stroke, it was important for him to stay active. "I want to work for as long as I am alive," the actor mentioned. The Bigg Boss season 1 winner shared that being on set keeps his mind active and gives him a sense of purpose and responsibility that he is still working today. "Yes, it may hurt a little sometimes, but you cannot break me," he wrote, concluding the note. Rahul Roy's viral dance videos In the viral video, Rahul can be seen dancing and romancing Dr Vanita. They made reels with chartbuster songs from the '90s, including his tracks, Tere Dar Par Sanam and Dheere Dheere Se. The internet found the videos absurd. Dr Vanita often shares videos and pictures with Rahul on her Instagram profile. Rahul Roy brain stroke Rahul, who became a national sensation with Aashiqui in the '90s, has maintained a low profile after suffering a brain stroke while shooting for his film LAC- Live The Battle in Kargil. The actor was immediately brought to Mumbai. During his treatment, reports revealed he showed symptoms of Aphasia- a condition where one can't frame sentences properly. The right hemisphere of Rahul's face was affected due to the stroke. In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Rahul's soul sister Priyanka Roy thanked Salman Khan for coming to the actor's aid when he was in need of financial support. She shared that Salman had called him and asked if he could help with anything and cleared the medical bills. Workwise, Rahul was last seen in Kanu Behl's critically acclaimed movie, Agra. He was recently spotted at a Mumbai jetty by the paparazzi.
