Inside Vaibhav Sooryavanshi's Explosive Form: Former RCB Batter Spills the Truth

Rajasthan Royals have started this season strongly under new skipper Riyan Parag, but the biggest highlight of their campaign has been 15-year-old batter Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. The youngster has stood out in the RR batting lineup not just for scoring 400 runs this IPL season but for his ability to score runs with great style during powerplay overs.

Former India cricketer Cheteshwar Pujara praised Sooryavanshi for his fearless batting and the impressive consistency he has shown while contributing to the team’s totals. Pujara praised the young RR batter who already established himself as a dangerous powerplay batsman after watching him play against Punjab Kings.

Pujara explained Sooryavanshi achieves success through his fearless approach which he combines with his consistent performance at opening batsman position during his interview on JioHotstar.

Pujara commented: "It's pure cinema watching Vaibhav Sooryavanshi bat. The way he approaches every bowler with that fearless mindset is remarkable. He simply watches the ball and backs himself to strike it. What stands out is that even when the opposition knows he's going to attack, they still struggle to contain him. That consistency, combined with his fearless intent in the Powerplay, is what gives his team a decisive edge and sets up games like this."

Yuzvendra Chahal delivered an outstanding bowling performance for Punjab during a match which batters controlled. The experienced spinner together with Harpreet Brar restricted Rajasthan's batting and dismissed important players like Dhruv Jurel, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Parag.

The two players maintained their performance because Brar maintained his control over the game while Chahal continued to take wickets. He delivered an excellent spell of 3/36 in four overs while Rajasthan chased a huge target of 223. Pujara praised Chahal’s smart approach and his ability to stick to his plans, which makes him so effective in T20 cricket.

Pujara added: "Yuzvendra Chahal was exceptional, especially in the way he used his variations. Even after being hit, he had the courage to keep flighting the ball, changing his pace and lines to create opportunities. His control over speed, ranging from the mid-70s to the mid-90s, makes it difficult for batters to settle. In T20 cricket, that variation is crucial, and what stood out was his willingness to stick to his plans and attack, which made it a very impactful spell."

After their loss to Rajasthan, Punjab’s management, led by Ricky Ponting, will need to address key flaws in their bowling attack. The existing problems have remained hidden because the team has performed well through its batting.

The bowlers have allowed opposing teams to score more than 200 runs on multiple occasions. The team might use Azmatullah Omarzai as a seam-bowling alternative because Lockie Ferguson returned to the squad and Marco Jansen gave up runs.

Punjab needs to stop their opponents from scoring runs because it represents their greatest challenge. The team needs to control their economy rate because they have successfully achieved wickets. The team needs to fix this problem because it will help them achieve their winning streak.
