Tragic Car Fire Claims Lives of Five in Rajasthan

A shocking incident has emerged from Alwar district in Rajasthan, where a car caught fire on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway late Tuesday night, resulting in the tragic deaths of five individuals who were trapped inside. Among the deceased are three women from Shyopur, Madhya Pradesh, along with a man and a child.


The horrific event occurred near the village of Maujpur in the Laxmangarh police jurisdiction. According to Kailash Jindal, the vehicle was en route from Delhi to Kota when it suddenly ignited around 1 AM. Officials reported that the flames spread so rapidly that the passengers had no time to escape, and the car was engulfed in fire within moments.


Driver's Narrow Escape

The driver, Vinod Kumar Mehr from Shyopur, managed to leap from the vehicle and survive. However, he sustained severe burns, with approximately 80% of his body affected, and is currently in critical condition. He was initially taken to a nearby health center before being transferred to Alwar General Hospital for further treatment.


Emergency Response at the Scene

Local residents promptly alerted authorities upon witnessing the blaze. A police team from Laxmangarh, along with NHAI patrol units, ambulances, and fire brigade personnel, arrived at the scene. Despite their efforts, the vehicle was completely destroyed before they could extinguish the flames.


Investigation Underway

Senior police officials, including Sudhir Chaudhary, visited the accident site to assess the situation. Authorities are currently working to identify the deceased and determine the exact cause of the fire.
