New Delhi. National Conference President Farooq Abdullah has urged Pakistan to end the cycle of violence in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that enough is enough and now Pakistan should leave the path of violence. Pakistan’s non-acceptance of Jammu and Kashmir as an integral part of India promotes violence.

Farooq Abdullah said in an interview that both the countries should find ways of peace. He mentioned the Pahalgam terror attack, in which 26 people were killed. He described it as a major blow to the efforts to rekindle the brotherhood.
People of Kashmir had given a clear message to Pakistan
After the attack, people of Jammu and Kashmir took to the streets and protested. This was a clear signal to Pakistan that terrorism is unacceptable. Abdullah expressed hope that the neighboring country will never support terrorism. He said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir are peace loving and want peace.
‘The biggest threat is no longer extremism’

According to Abdullah, the biggest threat to the youth in Jammu and Kashmir is no longer extremism but the increasing spread of drugs. He expressed deep regret over the involvement of some local people in this trade. He supported strict action against drugs so that no one can continue it. He said that this fight is not only the responsibility of the government, but every parent and citizen should be united. War is not the solution to any problem.
