He believes that for an actor, his own language, script and dialogue delivery act as the backbone. Nawaz emphasized that if the script is in a language familiar to the actor, then assimilating it and putting it on screen becomes much more effective and effortless.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui argues that the script should also be in the same language or script in which the dialogues are to be spoken. Giving an example, he said that if the script is written in Devanagari script, it becomes very easy to remember the dialogues and understand their emotional depth. According to him, this happens not only with him but with every artist. Referring to veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan, he said that he also chooses Devanagari for his scripts, which shows the power of this script.
