Hum TV’s new drama serial Zanjeerein has received an enthusiastic response from viewers after the airing of its first episode, with audiences particularly praising the on-screen pairing of Sajal Aly and Ameer Gilani.

The drama brings together a celebrated creative team, including writer Farhat Ishtiaq and director Shahzad Kashmiri, both known for delivering critically acclaimed television projects. Fans have already begun comparing the show’s emotional tone and visual style to the classic era of Hum TV dramas.

Viewers appreciated the drama’s layered storytelling, mystery-driven narrative, and emotional depth introduced in the opening episode. Social media users especially highlighted the chemistry between Sajal Aly and Ameer Gilani, calling their scenes natural and emotionally engaging.

Sajal Aly’s portrayal of the character Rabiya also received praise from fans, many of whom admired her expressive performance and screen presence. Alongside the lead pair, actors Danyal Zafar and Sahar Hashmi are also playing key roles in the serial.

Meanwhile, actor Ahsan Khan, who is also part of Zanjeerein, recently spoke about his role during a television appearance. He revealed that he is making a special appearance in the drama through a cameo character named Sherdil.

Describing the role, Ahsan Khan said Sherdil is portrayed as a caring family man who values respect and dignity and stands against dishonesty and fraudulent practices. He added that although the character appears for a limited time, it carries emotional importance in the story.

The actor further said the production team has worked extensively on the project and expressed confidence that audiences will continue to connect with the drama in upcoming episodes.
