Jharkhand State Cricket Association partners SJ Uplift to launch T20 league

The Jharkhand State Cricket Association has partnered with SJ Uplift for a seven-year term to develop the Jharkhand T20 Cricket League. SJ Uplift will manage all operational and commercial aspects, including franchise development, partnerships, and player frameworks, aiming to create a sustainable and well-organized cricket platform in the state.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)-affiliated Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) today announced the appointment of SJ Uplift to develop the Jharkhand T20 Cricket League. This association will be for a period of seven years, kickstarting the first season with six franchises.

SJ Uplift will lead the Jharkhand Premier League with full operational and commercial mandate, overseeing the league’s execution across all seasons. This includes building and scaling the franchise ecosystem, driving strategic commercial partnerships across sponsorship and media rights, and shaping the league’s brand and IP development. SJ Uplift will also govern player acquisition frameworks, contractual structures, and the league's overall competitive and operational integrity.

Ajay Nath Shahdeo, President, Jharkhand State Cricket Association, said, “We are pleased to appoint SJ Uplift as we look to build a professionally structured T20 league for Jharkhand. SJ Uplift has conceptualised and executed multiple leagues and tournaments across India, including the Uttar Pradesh Kabaddi League (UPKL), and will continue to focus on enabling scalable, franchise-led sports IPs and regional sports ecosystems.
