Tragic accident in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh: Cruise full of tourists drowns in river, four bodies recovered, about 18 people missing

Jabalpur. A tragic accident took place in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. A cruise full of tourists became the victim of an accident due to strong storm and storm at Bargi Dam on Thursday evening. The cruise ship sank in the river due to loss of balance near Khamaria island, due to which the tourists on board drowned. It is being told that there were about 30 people on board the cruise, out of which four bodies have been taken out, while 15 people have been saved safely. Along with this, the missing people are being searched.

As soon as information was received about the cruise sinking in the river, SDRF and police teams reached the spot and started relief and rescue operations. Search is on for the tourists missing in this accident, while four bodies have been taken out. It is being told that due to the sudden storm the cruise became unbalanced and sank in the water. Rescue operation is going on.

Former CM Digvijay Singh has expressed grief over this incident. He wrote on social media X, the incident of sinking of the cruise ship in Bargi Dam of Jabalpur is very painful. There are reports of many casualties in the accident. May God give peace to the departed souls. There is an appeal to the administration to speed up the rescue operation and make every possible effort to rescue the missing people. The administration should order a magisterial inquiry and take immediate action against the cruise contractor.
