Political uproar in Bengal before counting of votes, TMC claims suspicious people entered EVM strong room

Bengal EVM Strong Room Controversy : In the exit polls before the counting of votes in West Bengal, BJP government seems to be formed. But, before the counting of votes, the issue of EVM strong room is heated. TMC has made a serious allegation of opening the EVM strong room without knowledge and suspicious people entering it on Thursday night. The state’s ruling party has claimed that in the video, Election Commission officials are trying to open the ballot box with BJP people.

According to the information, many TMC leaders in Kolkata along with their supporters sat on a dharna outside the Khudiram Anushilan Center on Thursday night. EVMs are kept in the strong room of this centre. Meanwhile, CM Mamata Banerjee also reached the EVM strong room located at Sakhawat Memorial School, Kolkata. Where she remained inside the EVM strong room for about 4 hours. Then coming out late at night, CM Mamata told the media, “If there is an attempt to loot EVMs and manipulate the vote counting, we will risk our lives.” However, the Election Commission denied allegations of attempts to open ballot boxes and said that postal ballots were being sorted. All EVMs are secure.
