The United States could use hypersonic missiles for the first time in a possible military action against Iran. According to reports, the Trump administration has discussed advanced weapons options to target Iran’s military power and important targets.

Iran/America War: Amidst the increasing tension in the Middle East, relations between America and Iran have once again become the center of global concern. According to reports, the US military has informed President Donald Trump about possible new military options against Iran, including the possibility of using hypersonic missiles for the first time.

According to American media reports, United States Central Command (CENTCOM) Commander Admiral Brad Cooper presented this military strategy in a high-level meeting held in the Situation Room of the White House.

‘Small but very powerful attack’ option considered

According to reports, US military officials have proposed a limited but highly effective attack. The goal of this possible operation could be to target Iran’s remaining military capabilities, ballistic missile systems, strategic targets and structures associated with the top leadership.

Experts believe that if such an attack occurs, it could have a major impact on the balance of power in the Middle East and the global security situation.

What is ‘Dark Eagle’ hypersonic missile?

The US Defense Department is also reportedly considering the use of an advanced hypersonic missile system called ‘Dark Eagle’.

This missile is considered capable of carrying out precise attacks at very high speed at a distance of about 3,200 kilometers. Hypersonic weapons fly at many times the speed of sound, making them extremely difficult for conventional missile defense systems to intercept.

If America uses this technology, it will be considered a great example of the use of hypersonic weapons in a real war zone.

Deployment of B-1B bomber planes increased

Reports also say that the US has increased the presence of B-1B Lancer bomber aircraft in the region. These aircraft have the capability to carry heavy weapons over long distances and carry out strategic strikes.

According to military experts, the deployment of bomber aircraft like B-1B could be a sign of preparations for a possible major operation.

Debate on war rights intensifies in US Parliament

Meanwhile, the constitutional and political debate regarding military action against Iran has also intensified in America.

President Trump has not yet presented the proposal in Parliament under which approval was to be taken to continue military action for more than 60 days.

US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth told Congress that the “60-day legal deadline” is not currently in effect because of the ceasefire with Iran.

What is War Powers Resolution?

A law called “War Powers Resolution” was implemented in America in 1973 after the Vietnam War.

Under this law, the US President can continue military action only for 60 days without the permission of Parliament. They must then either:

    • Military operations have to be stopped,

    • Approval has to be taken from the Parliament,

    • Or additional time has to be requested.

The Trump administration had informed Parliament about the military operation to Iran on March 1, due to which the 60-day period is completing on May 1.

Despite the ceasefire, tension remains

Although the ceasefire between America and Iran came into effect in April, the tension between the two countries has not completely ended.

Analysts believe that military preparations, discussion of new weapons and political rhetoric indicate that the situation in the region still remains extremely sensitive.

Impact on global economy and security

The impact of rising tensions in the Middle East is already visible on the global oil market and the international security environment. Many countries have expressed concern about the sharp rise in oil prices, threats to maritime trade routes and possible military conflict.

Experts say that if the conflict between America and Iran escalates again, its impact will not be limited only to regional politics, but can also have a deep impact on the global economy and energy supply.
