A senior executive at JPMorgan Chase has been accused of sexual misconduct, coercion, and workplace intimidation in a lawsuit filed in New York, allegations the bank has strongly denied following an internal review.

According to the complaint filed in the New York County Supreme Court, a junior banker—identified anonymously as “John Doe”—has accused Lorna Hajdini, an Executive Director in the firm’s Leveraged Finance division, of engaging in a pattern of alleged abuse beginning in early 2024.

The plaintiff claims that Hajdini used her senior position to pressure him into unwanted sexual encounters and allegedly telling him, "If you don’t ***** me soon, I’m going to ruin you, never forget, I f**king own you."

The lawsuit further alleges instances of non-consensual acts and claims that Rohypnol (commonly known as "roofies") and Viagra were administered without his knowledge—allegations that have not been independently verified.

She also reportedly subjected him to racial slurs, using terms like "Brown boy", "Arab boy toy."

The complaint also includes accusations of workplace harassment and inappropriate remarks, along with claims that the employee faced retaliation after reporting the matter internally in May 2025. According to the filing, he was placed on leave and suffered reputational harm after raising concerns.

JPMorgan Chase has rejected the allegations, stating that an internal investigation found no evidence to support the claims. A spokesperson said that while multiple employees cooperated with the inquiry, the complainant did not fully participate in the process.

The executive named in the lawsuit remains employed at the firm. The plaintiff is seeking damages for emotional distress, loss of income, and reputational impact, and has called for changes to the company’s internal reporting and workplace safeguards.

The case is ongoing, and the allegations have not been proven in court.

Sources have identified the complainant as Asian-American Chirayu Rana, a 35-year-old finance professional with a strong background in investment banking and private credit.

He currently serves as a Principal at Bregal Sagemount, where he focuses on sourcing and underwriting investments across sectors such as software, healthcare, and fintech. Rana holds a degree in finance from Rutgers Business School.

Earlier in his career, he worked as a Vice President at JPMorgan Chase, specialising in sponsor-backed credit. He has also held roles at Morgan Stanley Investment Management as a private credit specialist, and began his career with positions in strategic credit and mergers and acquisitions at The Carlyle Group and Credit Suisse.
