Oppo is ready to launch a new device Oppo Reno 16 in its flagship smartphone series. The company has confirmed the launch of this handset. Also, pre-booking of this series has started even before the launch. Although the brand has only mentioned the Reno 16 series, but from its website listing it is clear that this lineup will include Oppo Reno 16 and Oppo Reno 16 Pro devices. Both these smartphones will replace the previous generation Oppo Reno 15 and Oppo Reno 15 Pro, which were launched in China in November.
This new lineup of Oppo can bring a big change in the mid-flagship segment with its premium design, upgraded camera and strong performance. The special thing is that a glimpse of its features like 200MP camera and latest MediaTek chipset has already been revealed, due to which the curiosity of tech lovers has increased further.
Launch and availability
Oppo Reno 16 series may be launched in China by the end of this month, although the exact date has not been revealed yet. But reservations for Reno 16 and Reno 16 Pro have started in China on Oppo’s official store, Tmall, JD.com, Douyin and Pinduoduo. Customers who pre-book this series will enjoy benefits worth up to CNY 278 for just CNY 1.
There has been no official announcement regarding the global launch yet, but according to leaks, this series may hit the international market between July and August.
Possible specifications
According to leaks, Oppo Reno 16 can get a 6.32-inch 1.5K OLED display, which will have a 120Hz refresh rate. It may come with MediaTek Dimensity 8500 chipset.
At the same time, Reno 16 Pro can get a large 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPO OLED display, which will have a 120Hz refresh rate. MediaTek Dimensity 9500s processor can be given in it. The Pro model is also expected to have a larger 7,000mAh battery, 80W fast charging and wireless charging support. Both the smartphones can be provided with 200 megapixel main rear camera with OIS.
Oppo Reno 15 Pro was launched in India at ₹67,999 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. Whereas the starting price of Oppo Reno 15 was ₹ 45,999.
