After receiving praise in Aaryan Khan's directorial 'The Ba***ds Of Bollywood' actor Emraan Hashmi is back with a bang with new venture ' Gunmaaster G9 '. This film will make him reunite with director Aditya Datt after 20 years. But this is just not all we should know about.
Emraan Hashmi, Aditya Datt and Himesh Reshammiya join hands
Both iconic names have also joined hands with musical star Himesh Reshammiya. Together, they created history with 'Aashiq Banaya Aapne' (2005), and hence expectations are high for 'Gunmaaster G9'. The film will also star Genelia Deshmukh and Aparshakti Khurana .
This upcoming flick is produced by Deepak Mukut and Hunar Mukut. Bollywood Hungama recently spoke with Aditya Datt where he spills the beans.
Aditya Datt told Bollywood Hungama, “I am getting into the last two schedules of the film. We’ll shoot in Mumbai in a few days, and then the final schedule will take place in June in Uttarakhand. A few days of Awarapan 2’s shoot is left, and Emraan will be finishing that as well between the two schedules of Gunmaaster G9.”
When asked for more details, Aditya Datt explained, “In May, we are shooting a very big car action piece for 8 days in Mumbai. The fear is that we are shooting in the harsh summers in the open. The unit members are going to get fried (laughs). But the job demands it as we can’t do it in the rain, and we need to wrap the shoot soon.”
Datt further added, “Then we’ll be shooting for 25-26 days all over Uttarakhand – Rishikesh, Mussoorie, etc. – and even for a few days in Delhi. In short, 33-34 days of shooting, or 40% of the filming is left.”
Regarding the release date, Datt stated, “We are yet to lock it, as the release calendar is choc-a-bloc. We hope for a late 2026 release. Otherwise, we’ll arrive in early 2027. Once we have the date, we’ll make an official announcement.”
He also said, “Also, the crucial process of the film is the post-production. I don’t want to hurry it up. I want to take my time and ensure that the final product shapes up well.”
Moreover, actress Genelia Deshmukh is gaining much love for her role as Maharani Saibai alongside Riteish Deshmukh who is seen in the role of Shivaji Maharaj in 'Raja Shivaji'. Directed and co-written by Riteish Deshmukh, the film also stars Salman Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan, Vidya Balan, Fardeen Khan, and others.
