The BBC has revealed the full line-up of 21 celebrities who have signed up for the second series of Celebrity Traitors - and this year's "big dogs" look set to be Jerry Hall and Miranda Hart, or perhaps Michael Sheen and Richard E Grant. The show, set against the stunning backdrop of the Scottish Highlands at Ardross Castle, begins filming next week, with the famous faces expected to start arriving today. Also joining the castle are University Challenge presenter Amol Rajan, The Last of Us actress Bella Ramsey and comedian James Acaster - not to be confused with Beautiful singer James Blunt, who is likewise taking part. Comedy star Joanne McNally and Joe Lycett are also on board, alongside former Coronation Street legend Julie Hesmondhalgh and social media content creator King Henry.

Little Mix star Leigh-Anne Pinnock has signed up along with Love Island presenter Maya Jama, Industry actress Myha'la and BBC science and maths expert Professor Hannah Fry.

Rob Beckett will be providing the laughs alongside his television regular Romesh Ranganathan, joined by former EastEnder Ross Kemp, My Mad Fat Diary actress Sharon Rooney, and musician and actor Sebastian Croft.

Once filming gets underway this weekend, the 20 contestants will be divided into Traitors and Faithfuls, following in-depth interviews with host Claudia Winkleman and members of the production team.

From that moment on, their sole objective will be to uncover which of their fellow cast members are making nightly trips to the turret, wearing the greed hooded cloaks - to decide which of the remaining group will be murdered. Rather than pocketing any winnings themselves, the celebrity contestants will once again be donating all proceeds to their chosen charities.

While currently in production, the series is not expected to grace BBC1 screens until the autumn, following the same pattern as last year when the likes of Sir Stephen Fry, Alan Carr, Paloma Faith, Charlotte Church and Jonathan Ross took part.

It was ultimately Alan Carr who emerged victorious, revealing himself as a Traitor in the closing moments before breaking down in tears under the weight of it all. That memorable finale has since earned a nomination for the TV Moment of the Year gong at next weekend's BAFTAs.

In recent months, rampant speculation has swirled about potential participants, with reports claiming that Danny Dyer, Ruth Jones, Liam Gallagher, Cheryl Tweedy and Peter Crouch would be heading to the castle. Alison Hammond and Louis Theroux were among other names incorrectly touted for the show.
