The Indian women’s cricket team has been selected for the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 to be held in England. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced on Saturday that the Indian women’s team under the captaincy of Harmanpreet Kaur will participate in this prestigious tournament with a 15-member squad.
Let us tell you, two new additions have been made to the team, Yastika Bhatia and Radha Yadav have returned, while Pratika Rawal has not got a place in the team this time. Fast bowler Nandini Sharma and spinner Shri Charani have also been included in the team. The performance of the Indian team has been excellent in the last few years and this time too they are expected to give a tough competition in the World Cup.
Let us tell you, the first match of the Indian women’s team in the T20 World Cup will be on June 14. India has been placed in its group with teams like Australia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, South Africa and Netherlands. This tournament will be organized in England from 12 June to 5 July.
During the team selection, the BCCI selection committee meeting was held in Mumbai, in which chief selector Amita Sharma and BCCI secretary Devjit Saikia were also present.
The Indian women’s team for the T20 World Cup 2026 will include Harmanpreet Kaur (captain), Smriti Mandhana (vice-captain), Shafali Verma, Jemimah Rodrigues, Bharti Fulmali, Deepti Sharma, Richa Ghosh, Shri Charani, Yastika Bhatia, Nandini Sharma, Arundhati Reddy, Renuka Thakur, Kranti Gaur, Shreyanka Patil, Radha Yadav.
India’s team for the Lord’s Test against England includes Harmanpreet Kaur (captain), Smriti Mandhana, Shafali Verma, Jemimah Rodrigues, Prateek Rawal, Sri Charani, Yastika Bhatia, Nandini Sharma, Harleen Deol, Renuka Singh Thakur, Kranti Gaur, Sayali Satghare, Sneh Rana.
