The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially announced the squads for India A Women's white-ball tour of England. The squad was simultaneously announced in a press conference involving BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia, Chief Selector Amita Sharma and captain Harmanpreet Kaur, where the squad for the ICC Women's T20 World Cup was announced.
The series will commence on June 20 and is slated to culminate on July 4. The T20 series will be played on June 20, 23 and 25, while the 50-over leg of the tour will be played from June 28 to July 4.
All-rounder Anushka Sharma leads the T20 squad for the three-match series. Harleen Deol will lead the ODI side in the three-match series. Deol, Pratika Rawal and Sayali Satghare will join the senior squad for the one-off Test against England Women set to start on July 10 at Lord's, five days after the culmination of the T20 World Cup.
Vaishnavi Sharma, who made it to the senior side at the age of just sixteen, was snubbed from the T20 World Cup squad but has been added to the A squad as part of the shadow tour of England.
