New Delhi: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) produced an impressive all-round display to beat the Mumbai Indians (MI) by eight wickets and get their campaign back on track in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. Skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad and pacer Anshul Kamboj played starring roles to help CSK earn their biggest win against MI in terms of wickets in the IPL, helping them jump to the sixth spot on the points table.
After Kamboj’s magnificent spell helped CSK restrict Mumbai Indians to a moderate total of 159/7 at Chepauk, skipper Gaikwad and young Kartik Sharma slammed unbeaten half-centuries to take CSK home comfortably in the run chase. Gaikwad slammed an unbeaten 67 off 48, while Kartik remained not out on 54 off 40, notching up his maiden fifty for the Men in Yellow in the IPL.
