Muzaffarnagar News: In a shocking incident from Muzaffarnagar district in Uttar Pradesh, a 75-year-old man was falsely declared dead by his eldest son, who then sold the family home. The situation escalated when the local police also recorded the man as deceased in their reports. Now, the elderly man is desperately seeking help from officials to prove he is alive, making rounds at various offices. This unusual case has become a hot topic in the community.
The elderly man, Ismail, a resident of Kakeroli village, visited the SSP office on Saturday. Although he couldn't meet with officials due to a tehsil day, he shared his distress with the media. Ismail claims that his eldest son, Abid, forged documents to declare him dead and transferred the property to a neighbor named Gulbahar.
Police Also Declared Him Deceased
The dispute regarding this matter is currently under investigation at the Kakeroli police station. When Ismail and his other sons learned about the situation, they contacted the police. Inspector Joginder Singh of Kakeroli police station also mistakenly reported Ismail as deceased. Since then, Ismail has been tirelessly visiting senior officials' offices to rectify this error. When asked about the case, CO Bhopal Devvrat Bajpai acknowledged that the report incorrectly listed Ismail as dead and assured that the issue is being addressed.
No Action Taken by Police
Ismail's son, Javed, expressed frustration, stating that their case regarding the property is still pending at the police station. He mentioned that their brother had declared their father dead to facilitate the property transfer. Despite their complaints to the police, no action has been taken against their brother, and instead, they received a notice under section 151.
