While he recently faced the Tamil Nadu State Assembly elections, his final film, helmed by H Vinoth, has consistently been in the news ever since it was leaked online on April 9.

First, the film’s release, scheduled for January 9, was postponed after the Central Board for Film Certification withheld the film’s censor certificate. Following a legal battle, the makers decided to withdraw the case, awaiting clearance from the CBFC for the film’s release. With the elections completed and the results scheduled for Monday, speculations are rife that the film will be scheduled for release in May.
