Punjabi singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh spoke about detachment, faith and fearlessness towards death during his Aura World Tour concert in Calgary, Canada, drawing attention and concern among some sections of the public.
Addressing fans at the event, Dosanjh shared his views on life, saying he is trying to detach from his physical self and live with a focus on love, respect and forgiveness. He said he holds no animosity towards anyone and is attempting to incorporate these values into his daily life.
In remarks captured in a video circulating on social media, the singer stated that he does not fear death and feels he has already detached from worldly existence. He added that he had previously tried to leave his physical body but still has certain responsibilities to fulfil.
Dosanjh also emphasised his connection to Punjab while interacting with the audience, describing it as an integral part of his identity. He said his current presence on stage reflects his faith and purpose.
Meanwhile, Dosanjh is set to appear next in filmmaker Imtiaz Ali’s period romance drama Main Vaapas Aaunga. The film also stars Naseeruddin Shah, Vedang Raina and Sharvari Wagh and is scheduled for a theatrical release on June 12.
