Mamata Banerjee: As soon as the West Bengal Election Results 2026 indicated the defeat of Trinamool Congress (TMC), the anger of BJP supporters erupted on former Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Slogans of 'thief-thief' were raised by surrounding Mamta's car. This incident happened around 4 pm on Monday evening. Mamata Banerjee, who is also the TMC candidate from Bhawanipur assembly seat, reached the counting center set up at Sakhawat Memorial Girls School. A crowd of BJP workers was already gathered there.

As soon as Mamata's vehicle reached Sakhawat Memorial Girls School, BJP workers started raising slogans of 'chor-chor'. This created a huge uproar there. According to the information, TMC supporters were also gathered at a petrol pump some distance away from the counting centre. TMC state president Subrata Bakshi was also present there. Later the police asked the TMC workers to leave the place.

Shortly after this, BJP supporters coming from AJC Bose Road got into an argument with the police. After this, BJP workers came very close to the TMC gathering. There BJP workers were also accused of breaking the chairs kept for TMC.
Slogans of 'Go-Back' instead of 'Maa-Mati-Manush'
Amidst this chaos, Mamata's car entered the counting center and the atmosphere became very tense. In view of the situation, security around the counting center was increased and the number of central forces personnel was also increased. Amidst all this, BJP supporters kept raising slogans of 'chor-chor' against Mamata Banerjee. Not only this, the people's leader for whom slogans of 'Maa-Mati-Manush' were once raised, today slogans of 'Go-Back' were being raised for her. However, later the police and central forces controlled the BJP workers and removed them from there and sent them to another place.
