Pakistani actor and influencer Dananeer Mobeen grabbed attention in London on Saturday at the UK premiere of her film Mera Lyari. Her outfit was not just fashion. It was a strong cultural tribute to Lyari and its people.

She wore a white shirt with a wide collar and puffed sleeves. It was paired with a traditional Balochi shalwar. The base outfit was kept simple on purpose. This allowed the main focus to stay on her embroidered corset.

The corset carried powerful visual storytelling. It showed young girls playing football. It also included designs of rickshaws, palm trees, and floral patterns. The embroidery used green, black, white, and brown threads. It reflected everyday life and identity.

A bold message was also written on it: “Lyari ka Fakhar” (The Pride of Lyari). This added emotional meaning to the look.

Her jewellery was equally unique. She wore a heavy necklace with three gold heart shapes. She also wore rings and a traditional panja-style hand chain. Her nails were colorful and expressive. One nail clearly read “Lyari”.

Her hair was styled in a bubble ponytail. Beaded ties separated each section. The overall look mixed modern fashion with cultural symbolism.

Dananeer praised her styling team and designer Ahmed Manan. She said the outfit was prepared in a very short time but delivered exactly the message she wanted.

Mera Lyari recently screened at the UK Asian Film Festival in London. The film tells the story of a disabled football coach played by Ayesha Omar. She returns to Lyari to build a girls’ football team.

Dananeer plays Afsana in the film. Her character, along with Kashmala, uses football as an escape from difficult home situations.

The film is now set for release in Pakistan soon. It is already gaining attention for its strong message and emotional storytelling.
