Former Mumbai Indians (MI) captain Rohit Sharma opened the scoring against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Monday (May 4). In the chase of 229 runs, Rohit played a brilliant inning of 84 runs in 44 balls, which included 6 fours and 7 sixes. For the first time in his IPL career, he hit so many sixes in an innings. Rohit made a partnership of 143 runs with Ryan Rickleton, which was the fourth highest partnership for MI in IPL.

Rohit-Rickleton made noise

When invited to bat first at the Wankhede Stadium, LSG scored a big score of 228 runs at the loss of 5 wickets. In response, Rohit-Rickleton gave the start that MI needed.
