Hyatt Regency Chennai brings alive the bold, aromatic flavours of Kolkata’s iconic Tangra neighbourhood with Tangra Tales—a flavour-packed A Hawkers style culinary pop-up celebratingstreet-food heritage.
From 7th to 10th May 2026, guests are invited to experience a specially curated menu inspired by Tangra’s vibrant culinary legacy, where Indian spices meet Chinese techniques. The menu showcases signature dishes with bold flavours, capturing the essence of Kolkata’s much-loved Indo-Chinese cuisine.

Adding to the experience is a live wok station, where sights, sounds, and aromas come together to recreate the energy of Tangra’s bustling kitchens. Stories rooted in culinary heritage and neighbourhood culture accompany the dining journey, offering guests a deeper connection to the cuisine.
The festival showcases signature creations by Chef Samuel Lahber and Chef Partho Roy of IHM Kolkata, featuring Tangra classics such as Chilli Chicken, Kolkata‑style Hakka Noodles, Pepper Garlic Prawns, and Chicken Manchurian—each dish celebrating the bold, aromatic soul of Indo‑Chinese street food.
