On May 4, Iran attacked UAE’s Fujairah Oil Industry with a drone.

After this attack, a massive fire broke out in the area and three Indian citizens were injured. This incident has happened at a time when recent efforts were made to reduce tension in the area. India’s statement has also come out on this incident.

1. According to Fujairah Media Office, after the drone attack, a fire broke out in the oil industry area, which the civil defense team immediately reached the spot to extinguish. Relief and rescue operations were started rapidly and the injured were admitted to the nearest hospital.

3. The UAE Army also showed alertness and successfully stopped three Iranian missiles launched into its maritime zone. At the same time, another missile fell into the sea, due to which major damage was averted.

4. Even before the attack, mobile alerts were issued in Dubai and Abu Dhabi warning of possible danger. The warning said, “Given the current situation and the potential threat of a missile attack, immediately take shelter in the nearest safe building, stay away from windows, doors and open areas. Wait for further instructions.”

5. This is not the first time Fujairah’s energy infrastructure has been targeted. Earlier on March 14, Fujairah port was attacked by drone attack, which caused a fire and some oil loading operations had to be temporarily stopped.
