TVK Chief Vijay has issued his first statement after the party’s electoral victory, striking a conciliatory and governance-focused tone while emphasising people-centric priorities.
Thanking Prime Minister Modi for its message, Vijay said the well-being of citizens would remain the government’s foremost concern. He stressed that the mandate was a reflection of the people’s aspirations and called for moving beyond political divisions to focus on the State’s development.
The TVK chief underlined his commitment to ensuring progress, good governance and inclusive growth in Tamil Nadu, while expressing hope for continued support from the Union government in achieving these goals.
He also acknowledged the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha for reaching out with congratulations, noting that public service and the preservation of Tamil Nadu’s cultural ethos would remain central to his administration.
Reiterating a collaborative approach, Vijay said the new government would prioritise the welfare, dignity and aspirations of the people, placing governance above politics.
