The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has yet to officially announce the results for the Class 12 Board Examinations. However, based on historical trends and recent updates, it is highly likely that the results will be available in the second or third week of May.

The CBSE Class 12 exams took place from February 17 to April 10, 2026. Following the examinations, the evaluation of answer sheets began in phases. Reports indicate that results may be released between May 10 and May 15. Historical data shows that results were announced on May 13 in both 2025 and 2024, while in 2023, they were released on May 12. Given this pattern, mid-May is a reasonable expectation for this year's results, although some updates suggest a potential delay until the third week of May.

The preparation of CBSE mark sheets has transitioned to a fully digital format. After the evaluation of answer sheets at designated centers, examiners upload the scores directly into a digital system. The Board employs technologies like real-time data entry and on-screen marking, which minimize errors and expedite the process. A moderation policy is also in place to ensure fairness across different question paper sets. If a particular set is deemed significantly more challenging, adjustments to marks may be made to maintain equity.

To assist students who narrowly miss passing, the Board may award grace marks according to its internal policies. Additionally, random re-evaluations of selected answer sheets are conducted to uphold the integrity and accuracy of the assessment process. The final mark sheet reflects not only the scores from theory exams but also includes marks from internal assessments and practical exams as provided by the respective schools.

For those without internet access, results can also be obtained via SMS or IVRS. Additionally, digital mark sheets can be downloaded through the DigiLocker and UMANG applications.
