Details of the Inter-Caste Marriage Scheme
The Rajasthan government has initiated the Dr. Savita Ben Ambedkar Inter-Caste Marriage Promotion Scheme to provide financial assistance to married couples. If a boy or girl from a Scheduled Caste marries a partner from a higher caste, the government grants them ₹10 lakh as an incentive. The primary aim of this scheme is to reduce caste discrimination and foster a sense of community among people.
Financial Assistance for Scheduled Caste Couples
Under the Inter-Caste Marriage Scheme by the Rajasthan government, beneficiaries will receive ₹10 lakh in financial aid. Out of this amount, ₹5 lakh will be fixed as a deposit for eight years, while the remaining ₹5 lakh will be deposited immediately into the joint bank account of the couple. Eligibility Criteria for the Scheme
To qualify for this scheme, at least one of the individuals getting married must belong to a Scheduled Caste and be a native of Rajasthan. It is also mandatory to attach a caste certificate with the application form.
