Friends, WhatsApp, the most popular instant messaging app of the modern era, regularly brings new updates for its more than 4 billion users, which provide convenience to the users, recently there is an important update about which you should know. The platform is quietly removing a feature that, though creative, didn’t become very popular. Let us know about it-
Digital avatar feature is being discontinued
Earlier, WhatsApp allowed users to create their own digital avatar. You could design your own face, hairstyle, clothes, and use these avatars as profile photos or stickers in chat. Now this feature is being gradually removed.
Avatar option is disappearing from Settings, Chat Info, and Keyboard sections
Users are receiving notifications that avatar editing is no longer available
In the near future, this feature will be completely removed for everyone
Changes are being implemented slowly
WhatsApp is not removing this feature altogether. Instead, it is being implemented in separate phases:
Access to the avatar section has already been removed from some users
This may still appear for some users for some time
This update is expected to reach all users in the coming weeks
Why is WhatsApp removing this feature?
Avatar feature was not adopted by many people
Most users prefer profile photos, emojis, and simple stickers
The company is focusing on simplifying the app and improving the user experience.
Overall, the move reflects WhatsApp’s strategy to simplify features and prioritize the things users actually use most.
