Texas Shooting News: At least two people were killed and three sustained injuries following two separate shooting incidents during a business meeting at a shopping center in Texas on Tuesday (May 5, 2026). The suspect was identified as Seung Han Ho, 69. According to police, the gunfire began over business disagreements, Fox 4 reported.
Speaking about the incident at a press conference Carrollton Police Chief Roberto Arredondo said that police in Carrollton, Texas responded to reports of a shooting just before 10 a.m. local time at the K Towne Plaza on Highway 121. “Carrollton police officers were dispatched to the 4000 block of State Highway 121 following reports of a shooting with possible victims,’ he said. When officers arrived at the scene, they found multiple people with gunshot wounds, the official added..
Police responding to the shopping center found four victims, including one man who was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a press release. A woman and two men were transported to a nearby hospital, where they are reported to be in stable condition, authorities said.
During the investigation, police responded to a reported second shooting at a nearby apartment about an hour later, where a man was found dead inside. Authorities later determined that the second shooting was carried out by the same suspect.
The victims had arranged to meet with the suspect for a “business purpose,” Arredondo said, emphasizing that the incident was “not a random act of gunfire.” Authorities did not provide additional details about the nature of the meeting. “It was a known business relationship. We are still working through trying to identify his causes,” Arredondo added.
In a release, police said that Seung Han Ho later confessed to shooting all five victims. The suspect allegedly told police he "was angry at the victims due to financial disagreements related to their business dealings," according to police, as reported by PEOPLE.
Han was arrested a few miles from the scene at an Asian market, H-Mart, on Old Denton Road in Koreatown following a brief foot chase. The shooting occurred in Carrollton, a suburb of Dallas. The K Towne Shopping Center is situated in the city’s Koreatown, an area known for its concentration of restaurants and retail stores.
