Arsenal face a fascinating summer with the transfer window fast approaching. The Gunners have already put together a squad capable of competing on several fronts as Mikel Arteta's men look to wrap up the campaign with some silverware to show for their efforts.
Last summer, Arsenal made considerable strides in strengthening their squad, with Viktor Gyokeres and Eberechi Eze standing out as the most noteworthy acquisitions. The club will once again dip into the transfer market in pursuit of the game's most prestigious honours.
Yet this ambition to bring in fresh faces could see those on the periphery of the first team pushed even further down the pecking order. As the Gunners edge ever closer to securing the Premier League title, the curtain falling on the season could trigger a number of departures.
With only a handful of fixtures remaining, several Arsenal players may have already pulled on the shirt for the last time under Arteta. Here, we cast an eye over the stars who could be heading for the exit door this summer.
Christian Norgaard
Christian Norgaard was recruited to offer an experienced presence in the engine room last summer, but the former Brentford midfielder has found first-team opportunities hard to come by. All six of his league appearances have been from the substitutes' bench, amounting to fewer than 60 minutes of action, with Arteta placing his faith firmly in his trusted partnership of Declan Rice and Martin Zubimendi.
The 32-year-old has continued to be overlooked, even following Mikel Merino's injury, and watched Myles Lewis-Skelly earn a starting berth ahead of him against Fulham last weekend. Given his limited playing time, Norgaard may opt to depart the Gunners in pursuit of first-team football.

Ethan Nwaneri
The gifted teenager pushed for a temporary move away from Arsenal in January. Nwaneri had started four games for the Gunners in the opening half of the campaign before heading to Marseille.
The 19-year-old made an immediate impact with the French club, netting on his debut. There were early concerns amongst certain Arsenal supporters that the club had made a mistake in allowing Nwaneri to depart, as Martin Odegaard and Eze both struggled with fitness issues.
A managerial change at Marseille has stalled the midfielder's development. Nevertheless, Nwaneri may still elect to pursue a permanent switch elsewhere if his prospects of breaking into Arteta's squad are unlikely to improve next season.
Fabio Vieira
Fabio Vieira has played for Arsenal since April 2024. The 25-year-old was recruited on a long-term contract from Porto in 2022 but has featured in ust 49 matches for the Gunners.
He has spent the past two seasons away from the club and is currently on loan at Hamburg. The midfielder has established himself as a pivotal player for the German outfit and his loan agreement includes a £17.3million purchase option, which could be activated this summer.

Jakub Kiwior
Jakub Kiwior looks set to embark on a new chapter at Porto on a permanent basis, having initially joined the Portuguese club on loan last summer. The 26-year-old centre-back made 68 appearances during his two-and-a-half-year spell with the Gunners.
Kiwior's switch to Porto includes an obligation-to-buy clause. He has featured in 38 matches across all competitions and has already claimed the Primeira Liga title.
Reiss Nelson
The Arsenal academy product will be entering the final year of his contract upon returning from his loan spell at Brentford. The 26-year-old has endured a frustrating injury-plagued campaign, restricting him to just 13 outings for the Bees.
Brentford retain the option to make his transfer permanent should Nelson have done enough to impress manager Keith Andrews. The winger made a solitary appearance for Arsenal last season before heading to Fulham on loan.
