He has strengthened his political position by winning both the important seats of Nandigram and Bhawanipur.
It is being told that he had defeated the current Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee by more than 15 thousand votes in Bhawanipur seat. In Nandigram also, he defeated the Trinamool Congress candidate by more than 9 thousand votes.
