Washington. US President Donald Trump has congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his ‘historic and decisive’ victory in the assembly elections. A White House spokesperson gave this information on Tuesday. White House spokesperson Kush Desai said, “Just last month, in a phone conversation, President Trump praised Prime Minister Modi and said how lucky India is to have a leader like Prime Minister Modi.”
He said, “The President congratulated Prime Minister Modi on his historic and decisive victory in the (Assembly) elections.” The BJP on Monday created history by securing more than two-thirds majority in the West Bengal Assembly elections and ended the 15-year rule of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. The party retained power in Assam for the third consecutive time.
